Biography
Maureen White served as the National Finance Chair of the Democratic National Committee from March 2001 until April 2006.
She was the United States Government Representative to the United Nations Children’s Fund from 1997 until January 2001. For the better part of the last decade, she has worked with a number of organizations dealing with international humanitarian issues, human rights, refugees and children affected by armed conflict. Ms. White has served on the boards of Human Rights Watch, the International Rescue Committee, Refugees International and the Chatham House Foundation.
Prior to that Ms. White had a career in international economic research. From 1978 to 1982 she was at the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London and the Nomura Research Institute in Tokyo. She spent eight years from 1983 to 1991 in investment banking research in London and New York with First Boston Corporation and Globe Finlay International.
She was educated at Mount Holyoke College (BA) and the London School of Economics (MSc.). She is married to Steven Rattner and they have four children.
